How to Get There
To reach Nilgiri, you must first travel to Bandarban. From Bandarban, options for getting to Nilgiri include Jeep, Chander Gari, Mahindra, CNG, or local buses. For the best experience, consider renting a private car, which allows you to explore the surrounding areas of Nilgiri and Bandarban. If you're planning a day trip, you can arrange a car from the Bandarban Jeep Station. Costs vary based on vehicle type, typically ranging from BDT 3,000 to 5,000. Chander Garis accommodate 12-14 people, while a Land Cruiser can hold 7-8, small jeeps fit 4-5, and CNGs are suitable for 2-3 passengers.
Please note that due to security regulations, tourists’ names and addresses must be recorded at an army checkpoint along the way. As a result, travel to Nilgiri is not permitted after 5 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. A ticket for entering Nilgiri costs BDT 50 per person, with an additional BDT 300 for parking.
